New Execution Fingerprinting Strategies at DFT’16

McGill MEng graduate Mojing Liu (now at Samsung) recently presented our new work on execution stream fingerprinting:

Bounding Error Detection Latency in Safety Critical Systems with Enhanced Execution Fingerprinting

This work proposes two new approaches for collecting execution information in order to reduce the error detection latency of traditional redundancy checking (such as dual modular redundancy at the boundary of the memory system) and existing fingerprinting techniques.  It was presented at the IEEE Defect and Fault Tolerance in VLSI and Nanotechnology Systems Symposium (DFT).
